Out Of Reach Poem by Johnathan Todd

Out Of Reach

Back to the beginning when everything was right, I could do you no wrong and we never use to fight, all you did was smile, and I'd be lost in your eyes, but then we took a fall into lies and alibis, now we can't get back to where it all started, so I'm sitting here, stuck as your plane just departed for the final time, I'm telling you I love you, but this is it, this is my final goodbye

I never use to think the cut could be this deep, the hill could be this steep, that I could drown in this creek, my future could be so bleak, that I could feel this weak, but this life that I'm livin, I'm done with the pretendin, I'm tired of feelin down, baby I need you back around

I never really thought that I could be in your plans, I wasn't anything special so I faded in the sand, but baby you're my world and I need you in my hands, I promise that I'll do you right, I don't wanna be wrong, but without you in my life I don't think I can go on, I need you like I breathe you so this life can have an end, all this will be a secret if I can't hit send

I'm done with this confession and I'm done with this depression, I'll never let you go but I can't live with this regression, I had to get this out but I sorry if it's trouble, I never meant to be the guy to burst your perfect bubble, I can't lie, your memory will never fade, but I'm done with this feeling like I keep on getting played, I'm finished with my speech, so now I practice what I preach, on to the journey for the love we never reached...
