Outdated Love Stories Poem by Joshua Bantum

Outdated Love Stories

It kept on
and on
I ignored its escalating
disturbence
like a small lek in a n umbrella
seeping in from the storm above

And it kep on
and on
an idea with teeth knawing at the epidermus
of my prexisting logic

The question of
Why

The only question that has forcefully
kept me in and out of bed

It kept on and on

Why,
why didn't we
for the lack of a better term
make it work...

Well, it kept
on and on
though, it began slowing its pace

And after digesting myself through
a plethora of intestines
lined with different excuses
some philosopical
others psychological
or simply just practical

I finally decided to have a basic fact
put my mind to rest

It's that
you always preferrd that your ideal concepts
of love be related to Jane Austin's
Pride and Prejudice

While I related mine
to
The Dangerous Liaison starring
John Malcovich

But both are extremely out dated.
