What lies over those hills and far away?
'elsewhere'. Beyond the yellow brick road that is 'our' society.
'Elsewhere' is the place we try to forget but can't.
Where speeding bullets seep through the soils of unfamiliar land,
like a hot knife through butter.
'Eleswhere' where poverty strikes and hunger kills.
Where the sound of gun fire echoes through the distance.
Where uncomfortable crys of motherless children are heard.
Where there is no place like 'home'.
'Elsewhere' is the unknown and forgotten land,
where people dream of a 'somewhere'.
'Elsewhere' seems ever so far away.
But some can look out there window, and see it.
From 'somewhere' you can see 'elsewhere'.
From 'elsewhere' you can see 'somewhere'.
'somewhere' where people have everything and nothing all at once.
