Over The Mountains Poem by Sven Rhoads

Over The Mountains

Rating: 5.0

Treading through the wilderness of life
He traveled across the reaches of his mind
Constantly the battles have befallen him
Still he has an axe to grind
Longing for the place that calls to his heart
The vision he has seen countless times
By the suns morning light and the nights reaching dark
He puts in the work even breaking his spine

Over the mountains of vicious battles
Sailing the oceans of endless time
Across the fields on horse and saddle
My only thought is to make it all mine

Telling of tales of this courageous journey
Teaching the pack that has become his own
Look to the stars if you're needing guidance
As the moon hangs above, you're never alone
When battle is called to bring you forward
Dont be afraid, dont run from the fight
The one flees will only die tired
Keep the dream yearning deep in your mind
