Overthrown Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Overthrown

This is the wind upon
Smiling seas
The shattering of my glass
In a glass house
The besmirching of the splendor
In a house full of other splendors
The dealing of cards
And I do not share the gambit betwixt
This is the song of the cicadas
And I have grown deaf
This is the swan-song
And the berth of no arrival.
This is the rain
Upon a fiery Summer
This is the tarnishing
Amid the callow spring
This is the defeat
Upon smiling enemies
This is the frail sentry
In the moment of total oblivion

This is quintessence
In the time of nothingness;
This is the satiation of the trains
While the stations lay emptied
This is drunkenness without wine
But in front of dancing lions
This is the sea
Smothered by saints.
