Pain

The pain in me is to hard to bare
You don’t know but would you care
My heart is here beating for you
While yours is there, shinning and new
A new girl for you
A new knife for me
While I sit up crying
She sits up whining
I miss the love she takes for granted
She wishes she had another karat
So in the end all is lost
But I’m still here

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,

The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
