Pain and Sorrow

On desolate wings
And broken hearts
We go

We follow a path
Broken long ago
By tears once wept

We walk away
All hope gone
Only the road ahead

With pain in our hearts
Sorrow in our souls
We leave all we ever knew
Behind

We look
For a safe place to hide
From our pain

Yet we know
no matter what
We can never outrun it
