Parenthood Poem by Daya Nandan

Parenthood

Parenthood is one of the hardest phases in life,
Managing between your job, children and wife,
With ony 24 hours a day, it surely isn't enough,
To work and spend family time to smile and laugh,

Its extremely tedious and requires discipline and devotion,
For time doesn't wait and dosn't go in slow motion,
Attention craving children, a job that needs a lot of time,
A family that needs food on the table, pressure and stress combine,

Balance and discipline become the key to survive,
With effort and hardwork to keep you alive,
Truly challenging, it puts time management to the test,
A journey of years to complete without proper rest,

Raising children requires miracles and parents do it everyday,
Devoting and balancing their priorities in every possible way,
Sacrificing most of their passions and desires for their young,
Working constant miracles from the breath of each lung.
