Part 0 - The Lion And The Lamb Poem by Leslie Alexis

Part 0 - The Lion And The Lamb

I will now tell you why I broke the flow
It is because daytime would end and night
Would end and rains would fall and suns
Would shine and man would live and man
Would die and flowers bloom and end.
Because spondee cannot be one with Iamb;
I broke the flow because form’s for the lamb.
I’m a mountain lion; my ways are not
Of the lowlands; I run, I prance, I jump.
I am so feared that men face me with guns
I am strong – brave as ten thousand or more.
Let me be feared, I do not care for love;
No child shall play with me. I am. I am,
The lion who wishes he was born the lamb
