Parting Poem by Arun Maji

Parting

Rating: 5.0

Let our parting
be sweeter than our union.
Let our forgetting
be more musical than our memory.

Cloud has to part from the sky
one day or the other.
Soul has to part from the body
one day or the other.

If I loved you once
under one beautiful moon-
then why can't my love
survive our inevitable parting?

Why can't I part being in love
and carry the fragrance of love?

Why the moment of parting
has to be full of sorrow or anguish?
Why the road of parting
has to be full of blood or tears?

Once love brought us together.
Now, let our love take us far.

inevitable because we part with something everyday. when we leave our kids in school- we part, when we sell something we part, when we die- soul parts from body. Parting in different magnitude is always happening.
