Peace be with you, oh life
Through whose fulfillment
Lies hope and aspiration.

Peace be with you, soul, who
Focuses the rudder of life
While hidden from us
Behind the veil of faith.

Peace be with you, time who
Nourishes the fullness of life
And reveals to us the suddenness of death.

Peace be with you, knowledge, which
Reveals to us that which faith conceals
And transgresses the depths of ignorance.

Peace be with you, brother, who
Stands by me unflinchingly while
Tasting the bitterness of life.

Peace be with you, mother, who
Brings forth life and sustains it
Upon the bosom of misery.

Peace be with you, father, who
Directs life and gives it meaning and purpose
In a world quelled into submission by chaos.
