Peace Of Mind - Poem by Martina Moriarty

The nights of days are over
my hands
untied of shame!
Our lonely past comes bouncing through the barricade of blame!
A fairy-tale of wonder in a land of blackened skies?
was captured in an instant through blinkered soulful eyes!
and now the wheel is turning
as she always said it would...
A burden kept within her heart
all for the greater good.

I have read some of your poems, most of them are short and powerful. Lovely and well articulated encapsulation of your train of thoughts penned in poetic diction. Kudos! Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MZANSI AND THE BALLOT BOX. (Report) Reply
