Pearling
Many books and pictures
-and old films show the pearls
If read, seen, pearl hunters
-some with pins on noses
-jumped and dived in water…
They are in Persian Gulf
-wooden are fishing dhows
-near where there are now
-the Bahrain and Qatar
Stories are rich and are sweet
-as are the fountains and springs
-of the deep underneath
-where rested pearl catchers…
Then, on board and at home
-busy men did their work
-lived in peace, harmony
-siblings, lived happy,
Tongue and faith and cultures
-were shared as common wealth
-they exchanged sons, daughters
-to marry as grooms and brides
People caught fish and ate
-lived the life of wonders
Came devil, blue-eyed
-brought in guns and mines
-polluted hearts and minds
-to cover, to makeup, to blood
-wind vessels got engines
-sucked "Crude" to burn it
-with that came war and war
Greed came to living brothers
-enemies they turned, changed
-as did Eve, in-Eden-face-snake
Hey Europe's blue-eyed
-go home and never come
-your absence from sight
-will cause a peaceful life
Take along your knowledge
-your techniques, desires
-and planes, oil tankers
Let the north, south and sides
-discuss things, get along
-as they did for too long
-whatever the faiths are
-the main core is Islam
-together they lived, loved
-until your filth arrived
Get the hell out and go
-do your shit in your home
-if not you will face the hell
-same as ones in Paris to London
Say bye-bye and buy peace
-for yourself and who is
-at his home and her house
-living life how they want
No import, no export
-of faith and enlightenment
-and arms and warplanes
-and oil-tank and shipwreck
Get your oil if you have
-from your Goddamn land
-and share it as planned
-among you and by you
-if needed shed blood
-do it there, among you
-you and yours by yourselves
-go…see you…not ever
-leave people to themselves
-husbands, wives, children
