Pearls Poem by Miss Fairytale

Pearls

A string of pearls
played on her neck
Each one a creamy locket
Saving secrets, stories, sorrows.

Fragments of weak heart
slept within these
charming prisons
Upon her pimpled skin.

My curious hands
wanted to explore
Her silken eyes
And laced mind.

But her lips spoke
only of the heaviness
in my heart
And the fragility of those lockets.

With my heart safely
sewn into my sleeve
I reached towards
the dark eyed girl

And popped the clasp
open.
A riot of slime
covered my hands.
She was revealed.
