People Of Abraham Poem by Aamir Hussain

People Of Abraham

Rating: 4.8

In Gaza,
it is the hour

Birds are flapping their wings,
against the winds of time

Death is dancing,
to the song of ogres

Poison is driveling,
from the fangs of serpents

Vultures are pecking,
at the corpse of humanity

David has lost his sling,
and Jesus his healing

And Joseph is gazing in horror,
at his numb legs and dead dreams

All prophecies have come true,
O' people of Abraham,

Welcome to the holy land,
to sobs and sighs

To roaring of F-16s
and thud on the roof

Or kiss of death,
on the cheek of a child!

It felt like you are peeling your heart with the knife of words... I felt a stab too as I thought of Gaza, of Kashmir, of you... Keep on writing!

I thank the great poet for his truth about what's going on in truth. A pretty poem. I felt its pretty words.
