Perfect Imperfection (Lyrics) Poem by Rebecca Louise Forward

Perfect Imperfection (Lyrics)

I’ve seen you walking around town,
Holding your head up high,
‘Cos you know they’re looking at you.
But you’re so busy tryna be a tough man
That sweetie you forgot you won’t ever change.

'Cos you've got that perfect imperfection,
And you’re keeping it a secret.
But what you don’t realise is in the end
It’s your best side you’re hiding away.

You like to think you’re a gentleman,
Yet all those broken hearts prove you wrong.
And I like to think I could change you,
Like you’ve changed my world.
If I could only find that perfect imperfection of yours.

'Cos you've got that perfect imperfection,
And you’re keeping it a secret.
But what you don’t realise is in the end
It’s your best side you’re hiding away.
