Perfect Love Poem by Brandon Lucero

Perfect Love

Rating: 5.0

My dreams came back
I greeted you as a friend
waking up it's a shame
we are strangers

You held my hand so tight
kissed my neck so light
lips like feathers
pillowed so right

Music played and we danced
I made you happy for awhile
now aching loneliness prevails

I couldn't stop you leaving
not even in my dreams
I'll sleep forever
remembering our team

Your face fades
into my perfect love
and the feeling
goes on and on
