Perfection To Me

In every empty moment in time,
I start to miss when you were mine.
Everytime i see you again,
i realise i really do miss when.
You used to be the reason for my smile,
yet that has not been so for quite a while.
You went and changed it all, all went wrong,
you came and changed my one happy song.
Once you made all the wrong go away,
made everything so easy to say.
The past went away, the future looked bright,
in my darkest tunnel you were my light.

Yet good things dont last, all will fade,
gone wil be all the good and every memory made.
Our love -or affection rather- did pass now,
yet i am unable to even explain how.
It all seemed to work, wouldnt you agree,
somehow it felt you were made for me.

Now when i look back, maybe it was all just a lie,
one i told myself, cause you never asked why.
So easily i wanted to believe you were the one,
maybe i just never wanted you to be gone.
You seemed to be what perfection was to me,
yet maybe perfection is what i wanted you to be
