Piper On The Dark Side Of The Moon Poem by Kevin Patrick

Piper On The Dark Side Of The Moon

Rating: 5.0

There's a piper playing on the moon
wobbling through a senseless tune
His minds a mists of nebulous ditties
A shattered wreck of wandering gypsies

He dreamt beneath gold gates of dawn
and woke to soon, to see his laurels gone
He ran through the night to reach for the stars
Then burned by his prize that left him with scars

Fearless he rode into lands undiscovered
Rising to peaks that martyrs so suffered
A maverick whose light shined by the night
Until the wolves struck and flew him to flight

Now far from the game he once composed
A hermit who sings into lost shadows
Over the rainbow where cracked marbles guide
The piper is waiting to lead to the dark side

Wow! Is this a coincidence, Kevin? Reading your great tribute AND going to the Pink Floyd concert. And I'll be right up front. Amazing! ! !
