Please Don'T Shut That Door Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Please Don'T Shut That Door

We held hands in the wet garden,
And inhaled each other's breath.
I held you so tenderly.
You held me the same.

You started saying sad things to me,
And I you.
We made each other angry.
Why did we?

Don't shut that door.

Keep the door of the heart open,
Even when you're mad.
You have made me sad,
With your disapprovals.

I love you.
Don't shut that door.
