Plenty Of Real Men Poem by Francis Duggan

Plenty Of Real Men

Of the man with feelings they say he is a wuss
The macho males say he is not one of us
Real men do not shed tears for those in life doing it tough
We merely dismiss them as not good enough

Us real men are proud of our National flag
And the deeds of our brave soldiers gives us the right to brag
These anti war protesters are not men at all
When their Country needs them they do not answer the call

There are plenty of real men in every town
Who vow they would never leave their Country down
Who are willing to fight when there is a war for to win
On Saturday evening at the pub with lots of liquor in

These supposed real men who their emotions cannot show
Of what a real man is they hardly would know
They believe they are macho males in every way
Humanity made of all kinds as the wise one does say

There are plenty of macho males in every town
Who in their words like to put gentle and compassionate men down
For to meet their sort you do not need to walk far
Just pay a brief visit to your local public bar.
