Poetries Poem Poem by Bill Cantrell

Poetries Poem

Rating: 5.0

Let me enter your pain,
I promise to bring release,
and with it, if you prefer,
I bring peace on your terms
Hand me the keys to your heart
as emotions can open doors powerful enough
to move stars,
and hearts
As the day comes to a close,
the night is impelled to drop it's curtains
Stars start to chatter,
for secrets are revealed in the dark
Yes, their consensus in the end,
Is nothing really matters
Yes, I pen this poem for you,
as I well know that everything matters!
Let it pull you from the tar pits of depression,
that the joy of a child grant you freedom to smile
My poem is water in a parched land,
pure and rejuvenating hope with reassurance
My poem is well aware of the wickedness
that happens behind all closed doors,
and if you take my hand,
I will help you walk through walls,
leaving behind memories that haunt the innocent,
to the point of being chained to relive the loop of pain,
again and again with no end in site
Please trust my words,
for my love for people is my joy,
as poetry has taken my hand,
thus we search for those held captive,
and we have the key to release all who wish,
yes, the victims of the gloom
Just a little while longer and the wicked one will be no more
You will give attention to where he was,
and he simply nor be
My poem is but an echo of a prophetic promise
As the world falls down,
let this poem give you hope,
for hope does float
If you care to look in between my lines,
you will see below,
those who let go,
yet, my poem will shine upon them,
and they will by no means be forgotten,
as they have become one with poetries longevity
Yes, let this poem give you eyes of hope
May it strengthen your endurance,
to the point of helping others with the power
of your smile
For even death has no lasting power,
for those who can recite the poem of life
May all of you, my friends,
find your name in it
