Poetry For Children: Grandpa Takes The Tablet ©

Grandpa takes the tablet, every morning and each night,
He's learning how to use it, which fills me with delight!
He says too much of it is bad, he takes it in small doses,
He punches in commandments, exceedingly like Moses!

He swipes across the touch-screen, to view who's posted in,
He replies to posts punctually, after playing the violin!
He doesn't like emoticons, He says they're not his style,
On chat, he wants to hear me, He loves to see me smile!

This tablet makes him feel good, it helps him keep in touch,
with those who need to hear him, who love him very much;
It's nice know he's savvy, and to know that he's online,
He's a very hi-tech Grandpa, and that's because he's mine!
