Poetry Storm.... [short; Limerick; Bri's Brain Storm; An Unusual Event! ] Poem by Bri Edwards

I've just experienced a Poem Storm,
more poems than, for me, the norm.
They swirled fast in my head;
I was nearly filled with dread,
like a 'panty raid' * on a....girls' dorm!

Definition: A prank where a woman's underwear is stolen.

Bri's Note: I ONLY heard of such an event while I was a
budding freshman student (not so much a student) 1966-
1967 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York State. I did
not witness nor participate in such a childish event. Darn! !

I suspect the panties were not so much 'stolen' as begged
for by over-sexed and/or fun-loving men/boys who, I suspect,
had some freshmen girls toss a panty or two out their windows.
[ In 'those days at Cornell' the dormitories for first-year students
were 'segregated' so only males lived in some dorms & only
females lived in other dorms. ]

One of my brothers, Terry, (also a girls' name) was incorrectly
assigned to live in a girls' dorm(itory) , at Cortland State College,
but [ Thank Goodness! ] the error WAS corrected.
