It doesn’t take
a lot of blue
to turn yellow
into green.
It doesn’t take
a lot of clouds
to produce
a summer shower.
It doesn’t take
much hurt
to make us
bitter, like
green persimmons.
It doesn’t take
a lot of words
to make a child
feel unloved.
But it does take
a lot of effort
to carefully choose
the colors we place
on our palette
everyday.
well said. smart, insightful, and devoid of any pretentiousness.
