Pollen Season Poem by Christian Connor Schwantes

Pollen Season

Put this note where someone can see the other side of me
Attaching ourselves to this world with threads thinner then hair
Cradling others, grass stuck in pairs
Swaying in satisfaction, roots eaten by ennui
Moving with the earth no matter how we tread
Except we can choose who will sleep in our bed
