Poor In Street Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Poor In Street

No one prays
For guidance and ways
For peace
And life at ease

On the contrary
It has become necessary
To show treasure
In open for sure

God knows
And owns
Responsibility
For humanity too

Poor in street
Waits to greet
Some of his liking
But gets kicking

"Please double my wealth"
"No more disease and sound health"
Only this time "forgive my sin"
In future my faults will not seen

Who is fooling whom?
Mother's womb
Or mercy showed upon
Who else can be told or shown
