Pope's Visit Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Pope's Visit

Rating: 5.0

The pope commands
Respect from all
The elite, the leaders
And the common man.

His arrival is a great
Rejoice for the masses
His word is gospel
His touch's so sacred.

Streets are closed for vehicles
Bridges are open for people
To walk across and reach
To see the pope clad in white.

His face reflects wisdom
His speech provides relief
Let his call to every soul
Lead to a lasting peace.

His visits to nations overseas
Draw crowds from near and far
He bears the pain of the world
To deliver a lasting smile.

A glowing tribute to a great Pope..... not merely the head of the Christian community, but a philanthropist and a redeemer of the down trodden who can feel and touch many hearts!
