Pork-Barrelling

'Pork-barrelling' in the news,
I goo-sleuthed* it for the French and German.

After a group on her side but gunning for Merkel,
'a boys' club' is 'ein Andenpakt';
it's 'un club copains' in France.

'A smart arse' there is 'un petit malin' (a little smarty):
and in Deutschland is 'ein Schlauermeier' (a Mister Wiseguy) ,
or worse, 'ein Klugscheisser' (clever shit) .

I realized I was fidgeting
and called pork-barrelling 'bridgeting'*.

*'sleuthgled'?

* After Bridget McKenzie, the Minister involved in the biased sports clubs' grants.
