Portuguese Folk Dance Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Portuguese Folk Dance

The musicians playing the music
And the pairs, couples
Or in groups
Dancing,
Dancing strangely
With finger snapping,
Circular movement,
Just like the circus artistes,
The musicians too with the accordion, the bagpipe,
The men and women too dressed strangely
Dancing at their places,
Splitting and pairing.
