Power Of Prayer Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Power Of Prayer

Oh solemn night
Depressing thoughts abiding
Doom and gloom stayed
On her troubled mind.
The love had gone
Years of joy a memory
Darkness of her world
Lingered on and
Lingered on.

Nightime passed
Morning sun was dawning
But even so
Her heart was sinking low
What hope had she
Without her faith to cling to
And she prayed.
Her lonely world took on
A brighter glow.
