A mother ever sacrifices
She is a selfless being

Her needs are secondary
From the moment you exist

You become her primary focus
From your first breath

She love’s unconditionally
Her care has no bounds

When you are sick
She’ll never leave your side

She takes pride in your achievements
And picks you up when you fall

Only she can cradle you to sleep
For she alone can do so

When you are sad
She cries with you

Only she brings true comfort
Because of the bond you share

She advises gently
For she only wants what is best

She disciplines harshly if need be
Because your future matters to her

She forgives whole heartedly
And does not harbour resentment

God is truly wise
For how could he know otherwise?

That a mother is the ideal nurturer
With a gentle and open heart

My mother is all these and more
She is special and unique

None other is like her
For she is one of a kind

She is beautiful no question
She is a true shining star

But her beauty comes from within
So stunning that it is blinding

It shines warmly like the sun
It ensnares all around her

That is why I love her
Not only because she gave me life

But she guarded that life jealously
She made sure that I could stand on my own

I don’t often tell her what she means to me
Yet she means the world to me

My world would not make sense
If she was not in it with me

She gives meaning to my life
My sweet mother

Who in her small ways
And the big ones too

Is the best there is
I am very lucky to have her

This is my praise for you mommy
Because you deserve all the praises

Thank you for your love
