Through tempest and tribulation
Through trials and temptation
My song still and still shall be

In pain, in sickness and hardship
In shame, in sorrows and conflict
My song all the same shall be

Though this world scornfully hates me
Though relations reject me
My song forever shall be
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord

Though, I through valley of death walk
Through the swim of dis'ster swim
My song unchanged shall be
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord

When I to this world bade goodbye
Leaving and taking nothing
My song by and by shall be
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord

And on that day, the day of joy
With the flaming tongues on high
Our song together shall be
