Prayers And Praises! Poem by Denis Martindale

Let prayers and praises intertwine, and intercession flow,
Let true thanksgiving, yours and mine, each sadness overthrow.

Let God be loved and uppermost in thought and word and deed,
Let Jesus and the Holy Ghost help each of us succeed.

Let wisdom be our sovereign guide, let God's light lead us still,
Let good works be what we've supplied in answer to God's will.

For love, compassion, tenderness, are more than words we share,
Each time we seek the Lord to bless, each time we pause in prayer.
