Pretend Your Happy? Poem by natalie vail

How do you pretend your happy?
That is the hardest state to pretend to be in.
When your happy,
you're on top of the world
on cloud nine
you feel like the greatest person in the world,
nothing can make your heart die with sadness.
But what if you're not in this great happy state.
What happens if all your friends just vanished and you couldn't have them anymore?
It's like you pushing a boulder on top of a hill and it rolling back down each time.
You can't push your heart back out of the state because it just rolls down when you get to the top.
But someone people pretend to be happy.
Most of your loved ones can see right through you.
Or your friends know if your sad.
Why are you sad?
Can you make it better?
That's how you leave the that pitiful state.
Never pretend to be happy, because it will make it worse.
