Priceless Poem by Libby Simpkins

Priceless

Met by chance, but held by fate
My pain is yours, enhanced with strength
I gave you my worry, I gave you my pain
You replied with a smile, and washed it away

You know my weakness, you know my fears
Yet you hold me tight, letting no one near
You pick up the pieces when I am down
You hold me up before I fall to the ground

Now we’re getting older
We’re college bound
Yet our memories string us together
So tightly wound
Your never alone, I’m always here
Maybe not in person, but my spirits there

Your more than a Gem
Your the highest karats of gold
Your worth more than a priceless painting
You could never be sold
If god made me an offer
I’d surely decline
I’d rather have you
Just my best friend and I
