Protection Poem by Randy McClave

Protection

I wear my seatbelt in a plane and in a car
Whenever I am traveling, whether it be near or far,
My faith and belief is always and still with God
Whether I am at home, or traveling abroad.

I wear my life jacket whenever I am on a boat
Because, I can't swim, nor can I float,
My faith and my belief is always with God my father
He loves me forever, without thought or bother.

I wear an orange vest when I go out to hunt
Because another hunter won't mistake me for a deer out front,
My faith and my belief is always with my lord
As he is more powerful than any sword.

I would wear a helmet and carry a gun if I went to war
Every night before I go to bed, I always lock my front door,
My faith and my belief is always with the Lord if you ask
But, for my protection, I will still wear a mask.
