Psalm 23 Poem by Parker Perrella

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd-
Why do I fear?
Why am I so afraid?
Do I dare doubt His sovereignty?
Do I dare not trust His name?
For He renews my life
He leads me out of the miry clay.
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall not be in dismay-
For He is with me;
His rod and His staff- they comfort me.
I am secure in His mighty embrace.
The Lord is my light and salvation-
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life-
Of whom shall I be afraid? *
Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me
For all of my days,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord,
And there, for eternity remain.
The Lord is the Good Shepherd-
Jesus is His name.
