Psalm 35 Poem by Parker Perrella

Psalm 35

Oppose my opponents, Lord;
For they pursue me relentlessly,
They persecute me without cause,
They seek to kill me.
For though I humbled myself,
And prayed for my enemies,
Still they repay evil for good.
Lord, vindicate me-
In keeping with your righteousness-
Rise up and defend me!
Do not be silent,
Lord, do not be far from me!
You assure me,
"I am your deliverance"-
Be exalted in splendor and majesty,
My tongue will proclaim your righteousness,
I will shout your praises continually.
