In the forgotten
Prairies of the mind,
I search for answers
But find none!
As we regard,
Once more,
The deadly
Beating of the bombs
The murderous shots
Of every, tank.
Innocents fleeing
To save lives,
As bloody butchers
Perpetuate,
The tainted
Horror,
Of human, sacrifice,
Said done by savages
Not by western men
Of culture,
Who were once?
Considered 'Civilized'
Still,
Even today!
After all our history
Of bloody Wars,
Tyrants still rise
To kill, once more!
War will never end even after so much devastation in the past. Man! When will you learn to be peaceful?
If tyrants feel that wars need to be fought, let them fight them in virtual reality. That's civilized! And no deaths happen. Excellent poem, Sandra!
A great poem woven with intense emotion. Very moving. To my Poem List.
Leaders must not be allowed to perpetuate their power. Once a dictator is allowed to govern, war is inevitable.
Powerful, deeply poignant and so rightly said. Tyranny will always rise if we are not vigilant. Early signs of tyranny must be cut off immediately. We shall never allow its acts to spread.
Thank you Sandra for this powerful poem...I liked what Kim has written... : ) Top score for sure!
