Puzzled! Muzzled And Trapped Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Puzzled! Muzzled And Trapped

Bluffed and bullied.
Shackled. Muzzeled and trapped.

What we have before us all,
Is a reality too revealing.
So incredible that it leaves,
Many refusing to accept...
The presence of it to believe.

Fantasies kept to feed upon,
Fed historically as a part of life.
Shocking people to feel,
They are being attacked.
Left to wonder what has happened,
To that 'normalcy' to live it.
And where is it to get it back.

Yet...
What it is that is wished to want,
Is a return of a craving missed.
That trap that had them,
Hustling to be shackled.
Muzzeled and trapped.
Harrassed!
As if trained domesticated rats.
Trained to seek cheese.
And teased until pleased.

Unconscious to the fact,
They have been made participants.
In an act that depends,
Upon their performance that begins...
As an experiment,
For the purpose to entertain.
Leaving the many addicted to cheese,
Awakening too late to realize...
They have been bluffed,
Bullied.
Muzzeled, shackled and trapped.
Deceived by a scene stealer.
That is a big fat cat.
Dining on an overdose of ego.
And...
Loving every bit,
Of the ham loyal pigs have donated!

"This...
Can not be reality! "

-Why not?
Are the shackles too tight?
Or is the cheese a bit too sharp,
For your taste? -

"No.
It is the muzzel.
None of us agreed to be muzzeled.
Or to be left puzzled,
By the act of this trap."
