Quantum Tunneling Poem by Benjamin Lee Hopper

Quantum Tunneling

Shackled wishes
will shatter glass
when falling through
all hope-stained windows,
with loss of breath
to foggy iced-framed
glossed terrain,
like scattered diamonds
strewn in moonlight,
glistening eternally
in the punctured foot
of Father Time,
like all my thoughts
that once aligned
with faulty fictions,
sending conscious enmity
deep set like fractured
silver needles sunk
helplessly into the skin
of self-protective
hard-born wisdom,
acquisitioned
through my youthful
fallacy of failing
effortlessly hollow,
overcoming contraception,
recklessly taught
how to follow cloud-based
patterns hanging grey
in matte-framed manic
incantational reverie,
allowing omens
rite of passage
in a tunnel meant to be
a sacred journey
for the wisher
staring through
their own two retinas
heralding the hope
that they one day
will find their own
Truth too.
