Solace In Apocalypse Poem by Benjamin Lee Hopper

Solace In Apocalypse

Wholly surrounded
by molten craters
and rising flames,
our body's levitating
emotive-scorched joy,
raised by screaming
windblown pangs,
wage tears of love
in a departure sworn
to quench the pain
through welcoming
the inferno's uproar
in grateful suffering,
by sacrificing of cores
to the inevitable
end of the world
and reach further
for a new beginning
to see what more
could be in store.
