Quenching My Own Thirst For It Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Quenching My Own Thirst For It

'What can you do that you have not done? '

Tomorrow has not yet to come.
I am still in the 'now'...
Welcoming every step,
With a freshness that has begun.

What can I do that has yet to be done?
I would instantly materialize,
A happiness for everyone.

'But how can you do that? '

By first quenching my own thirst for it.
And not concern myself about the 'doing'
To get done side of life!
Somehow I know that will take care of itself.
