Questions Poem by Charles Nichols

Questions

Rating: 5.0

Can a word ever hold
What a soul feels within?
Can passions be freed
Through the voice of the pen?

Can a longing so wide,
Or the wish for a look,
Or the turmoil for truth,
Be fit, in a book?

Can the oceans of love,
Be divided and claimed?
Can life direct onward,
And love still remain?

Can 'obey' be ignored
And pride be made safe?
Or can knowledge and courage,
Be taken, for faith?

Will not God, Who knows all,
In His loving way, offer?
In our need, and His time,
A most perfect answer?
