The Purple Hill Of Sunrise Poem by Charles Nichols

The Purple Hill Of Sunrise

The Purple Hill of Sunrise

The purple hill of sunrise lays afar in firm repose
Under soft blue sky tinted gold and rose
What this day will hold for me
Only Heaven truly knows

The peace and placement of this hill
In Gods lovely morning "still"
Is it's place of revelry
In His perfect will

The day may come with terrible sun
Or wind and rain and darkening storm
But with patience it may be
Sunset painting the hill warm

So is the scen'ry of the soul
Life that would be beautiful
Must be lived in revelry
Within the will Who made the whole
