Quickie-Argument Poem by Loke Kok yee

Quickie-Argument

Rating: 5.0

In an argument never push someone into a corner
The rules of engagement will no longer be adhered
It is like talking to a drunk who had too much beer
Reasoning will fail and it will end in violence severe

Now this is very true. Many arguments can be deescalated with body language, tone of voice, allowing options, some sort of compromise, or just walking away. Many arguments can escalate when people feel there is no other option than violence.

So true, if one can't win the battle, don't start the fight and none of us ought to be fighting anyway, life is far too short...Excellent poem
