If there are a thousand refugees out there
And for nine hundred and ninety nine we cared
Can we stand up tall with our conscience clear?
And just shrug off the one left behind in fear
Are we righteous by saying the numbers filled?
When truth was a lack of political will
Or could the reason be that they're maimed and old
And in your society they don't have a role
His only wish; a chance for a normal life
Free from wars and all the political strife
To seek happiness without hurting others
In a peaceful world like sisters and brothers
Where no one is judged by what they believed in
Or see others through glasses coloured with tint
To pursue his dreams freely among his kind
Not abandoned and be the one left behind
A beautiful poem Lok Kok Yee. It is well written and clearly heartfelt. How can we leave them abandoned and left behind. : ((( 10++
Very true, if we cannot stop it, lets unite to defeat it by extending our helping hands to them.10+++

Fantastic contribution to create more awareness. We need a huge kindness revolution. We on the ground have to start it and get it rolling like a huge avalanche. Only then the politicians will follow.
Thank you for your support my friend, The problem is likely to get much worse and there is no solution in the near future. Politicians only comes around to get some Brownie points! !
