Quiet As Peace Calm As Calm - Poem by Shalom Freedman

I had a Mother
Whose Soul
Was Goodness and Quiet and Joy and Calm
In its good days-

I am her son still
Long past the age
I best remember her as-

Oh Ma with all your goodness
Where did you go?
And where calm or no calm
Will I go also?

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Out of the Joy of my own inner self-
I write these lines
