Quiet As Peace Calm As Calm Poem by Shalom Freedman

Quiet As Peace Calm As Calm

I had a Mother
Whose Soul
Was Goodness and Quiet and Joy and Calm
In its good days-

I am her son still
Long past the age
I best remember her as-

Oh Ma with all your goodness
Where did you go?
And where calm or no calm
Will I go also?
