Quite Absurd Poem by gershon hepner

He who knows just one religion can know none.
He who knows each one of them is known as One.,
and recognized as Yawheh, Allah, Jesus Christ and God,
believing that religions all are very odd.

According to those working in religion's field,
religions can't be sacred if they aren't revealed,
but those who claim that revelation has occurred
are part of what makes all religions quite absurd.

Inspired by Professor Jonathan Smith’s address to the annual meeting of the SBL in Boston,111/22/08, citing the pioneering work of Muhler on comparative religions in the 19th century.
